The Minister for Sport administers the Sporting Venues Authorities Amendment (Venues NSW) Act 2020 (‘the Act’) and the Sporting Venues Authorities Amendment Regulation 2020.

Under the Act, the NSW Government established authorities to manage land and venues for the State and specific regions of the State.

Venues NSW was established on 1 December 2020 following amendments to the Act to consolidate the responsibilities and operations of the former Venues NSW and the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust.
