Indigenous seating design revealed for Sydney Football Stadium

The seating design of the new Sydney Football Stadium has been revealed and will feature abstract land and water designs to create an element of friendly and fierce competition.
Award-winning Indigenous artist Tony Albert has been commissioned to create the design which covers all 42,500 seats of the new stadium. We are excited to see ‘Two worlds colliding – Water and Land’ come to life as the stadium is built.
The design was chosen for the story it tells about place and country, providing a nod to the contest of two competing teams while offering broad appeal as a strong contemporary work. Each end of the stadium is separated and distinguished by two different designs – the land through geometric diamond designs taken from nature, and the bubble of concentric circles for water.
The stadium remains on track to be completed in the second half of 2022.
