Western Sydney Wanderers coach Markus Babbel has named his squad for next Saturday night’s historic clash against iconic English club Leeds United at Bankwest Stadium.
24 players have been named in the side that will face the storied football club at the Red & Black’s very first match at their new home ground.
Babbel has named a squad mixed with experience and youth with Wanderers fans getting the first opportunity to see some of the club’s new off-season signings don the Red & Black for the very first time.
Daniel Lopar, Daniel Georgievski and Pirmin Schwegler have all been named as well as more recent signings Radoslaw Majewski and Dylan McGowan who touched down in Western Sydney this week.
The Wanderers will be without Jordan O’Doherty and Vedran Janjetovic due to long-term injuries.
Leeds United will be coming into the match next Saturday night off the back of a mid-week friendly against Manchester United at Optus Stadium in Perth.
