Bankwest Stadium proud to officially partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney
Bankwest Stadium is pleased to announce Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney as its official Major Charity Partner in 2019.
Bankwest Stadium CEO Daryl Kerry said today: “Bankwest Stadium is committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of all Australians, and as a thriving hub of community activity, Bankwest Stadium understands and embraces the opportunity it has to make a positive difference in the local community and in the lives of children who need it most.
“We recognise that sport can help to build communities through social inclusion and a sense of connection. It also binds families through shared experiences and achievements, where being a member of a fan club becomes a common point of connection.
“We’re proud to partner with Ronald McDonald House Westmead – who is just a 10-minute walk from our front gates, share our passion for promoting the health of young Australians, and partner with two of our home clubs, the Parramatta Eels and Western Sydney Wanderers.”
Venues NSW Chairman, Christine McLoughlin, said the partnership reaffirms the vision for Bankwest Stadium as an inclusive precinct that transcends professional sport.
“Bankwest Stadium will bring the Western Sydney community together for a range of events, festivals and experiences, and we are delighted that families staying at Ronald McDonald House Westmead will have the opportunity to enjoy everything this diverse precinct has to offer.”
Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney CEO, Belinda Woolford said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be named as Major Charity Partner of Bankwest Stadium.
“As a local charity we can see the impact the stadium is going to have on Western Sydney, it will be a game changer for sport and entertainment in our region.
“Further to this, we know the families staying at the house will benefit from the opportunity to have a family day out at one of the many premium events scheduled at the Stadium, giving them much needed respite and family time during their difficult journey.”
