CrossFit Games qualifiers confirmed after another successful Pacific Regional in Wollongong

 

The 2017 Pacific Regional has come to an end in Wollongong after yet another successful event at the WIN Entertainment Center. The three days of competition (May 26-28) saw record crowds attend with tickets for Day 3 selling out early.

This year saw some of the world’s fittest athletes from Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Russia compete for a place in the CrossFIt Games in Madison, Wisconsin in August.

Once again, Kara Webb claimed the women’s title, overtaking fellow Queenslander Tia-Clair Toomey in the final event of competition to finish on top of the leaderboard.

In the men’s division, James Newbury claimed his first ever Regional crown, finishing ahead of Mittagong’s Ricky Garard and six-time CrossFit Games competitor Rob Forte, while three New Zealand team’s finished on top of the Team Leaderboard for the first time ever.

Here is the list of qualifiers who will be representing the Pacific Region at the 2017 CrossFit Games in August:
